What is a TMS？
TMS stands for Translation Management System. A translation management system is software that automates repetitive or manual tasks to make the translation process as efficient as possible. Using a TMS can reduce the risk of error through automation, increase productivity with real-time team collaboration, enhance interoperability and scalability through seamless integration, ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality, save time, reduce costs, and free up resources.
Our TMS Consulting Project
My team researched a TMS company and proposed how the company should improve their current TMS setup.
The company has an AI Localization Platform, which combines AI and human expertise for accurate, brand-consistent translations.
From a translation perspective, it provides both professional translation services and machine translation to improve the efficiency of translation. It has different levels of translation services, and clients can choose between machine translation, human translation, or a combination of both, depending on their needs.
From a management perspective, it achieves seamless management of translation projects. So clients can simply create and track their projects with a personalized interface.
Our Suggestions
After conducting our research, we identified three limitations of this TMS.
- Difficulty handling urgent tasks
- Lack of Tracking System
- The analysis interface is not detailed enough
We came up with three suggestions to improve their TMS.
- Automation of Task Allocation
- Introduction of third-party Tool
- Introduction of Analysis Overview
