In the fast-paced and detail-oriented world of localization, technical knowledge isn’t the only thing that matters. Emotional intelligence (EQ), adaptability, and communication skills are just as important—especially when working across cultures, time zones, and deadlines.
For this presentation, I explored how EQ and so-called “survival skills” play a critical role in localization careers. These include self-awareness, empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution. I also looked into how professionals can better navigate stress and uncertainty in multicultural teams.
